Diet V Exercise - What Should I Focus On?

The Restless Midlifer : Episode 104

It's episode 104. This week I explore some of the foundational questions that I seek to answer when working with clients and indeed in my own efforts at improving my health and losing weight.

I define some key terms - 'movement,' 'activity,' 'exercise,' and 'diet.' I then explore the factors that we need to consider when thinking about where to focus our health efforts. Do I focus on the 'diet' aspect or 'exercise?'

The short answer is, 'it depends,' however, I dig into that and give some guiding thoughts on where to direct our efforts. I also explore the potential benefits that can arise when we differentiate between 'activity' and 'exercise.'

This episode is intended to provide a foundation for next week's episode in which I dig into the 'diet' side of the mix. So watch out for next week's episode too. Get subscribed to ensure you receive every episode.
